Community Connection – Sandra Prieto

Committee Connection – Sandra Prieto

Committee Connection is a series of blog posts from our members about why we are volunteering and helping Nonprofit Dreamin become a reality.

Sandra PrietoSandra Prieto is a freelance Salesforce Consultant.  She is a consummate collaborator with Nonprofit Dreamin, working with Logistics, Volunteer and Marketing Teams.

One of my all-time favorite quotes is from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, “Life’s most pertinent and urgent question is, what are you doing for others?” This quote serves as a great reminder of what I’m doing today and how that is making a difference.

When asked to share my why, the answer was simple- because I’m making a difference and it makes me happy. My life has always centered around serving others and volunteering. I spend a great deal of my time in my community on various causes that I’m passionate about. Volunteering gives me a sense of purpose and makes me happy.

The Nonprofit Dreamin group came together with a common goal in mind- to grow and help nonprofits advance their missions by creating a space where nonprofit professionals can collaborate, learn, and network with like-minded individuals. This group of individuals working tirelessly behind the scenes exemplifies what this community is all about.

The need is greater during these challenging times and nonprofits rely on people like us to help make a difference. Volunteering my skills and experience to help nonprofits in the Salesforce.org ecosystem achieve their missions and give back alongside the Nonprofit Dreamin group is an honor.

Nonprofit Dreamin is an excellent way to give back to a community that welcomed me with open arms since day one. This passion and dedication to #domoregood drew me into this community and is the reason I stayed.

I’m sure the Salesforce community would agree that the Ohana is one of the most inclusive and welcoming groups you can find centered around innovation and collaboration. If you are not (yet) part of this community, reach out, and I’m happy to help you get started.
